The design & shape of this Omega Seamaster is unique. The flowing bracelet, whose individual links are reminiscent of growing sails, merges seamlessly into the equally distinctive case of this chronograph - all originally designed & made by Omega.
This Omega Seamaster Automatic is powered by the Omega Chronograph Caliber 1040. A unique feature of the Cal. 1040 is the use of a central minute hand for the chronograph. In the pictures you can see that the chronograph minute hand is positioned below the seconds counter and can be recognized by its “airplane” tip as well as its orange color. This arrangement allows the elapsed time to be read quickly and easily.

A LittleStory about an unfortunate confusion..
Watch out!
Don't let someone pull the wool over your eyes.
Especially not out at sea.
This is not a sailor's yarn.
This watch we have here is NOT a Omega JEDI.
Its simply a super-special Omega Seamaster - for genuine Masters at Sea.

The true story of the OMEGA “JEDI” is more or less incorrect almost everywhere on the Internet. The great confusion began in 2007, when the reference Omega Seamaster 176.0005 was offered by a leading auction house for important vintage watches as “so-called JEDI Omega Seamaster Automatic”, and over the years a misunderstanding about the “Omega JEDI” model has spread. This came about because the aforementioned auction called “OmegaMania” was one of the most important auctions for Omega vintage watches in the world to date. A misunderstanding that, with so much PR, reach and interest in the auction, took its course into the world and can therefore probably no longer be corrected - unfortunately, one has to say today. The correct OMEGA SEAMASTER JEDI is the Omega reference 145.0024. This watch was named by Chuck Maddox, an Omega connoisseur whose extensive knowledge and publications, especially on Omega chronographs, have set the tone for many collectors and Omega enthusiasts around the world.
In addition to the Omega Seamaster reference 145.0024, there was also the reference 145.0023, which was produced in two versions: One in a black-coated steel case, which he named “Darth Vader”, and the other in a polished (tungsten) chrome case, which he named “Anakin Skywalker”, as this shiny case “had not yet turned to the dark side”. Following this, he named the Omega reference 145.0024 “OMEGA SEAMASTER JEDI”.

The watch has undergone a full Omega service in 2024 - but no relevant components outside the movement were replaced. Only the pushers and the back cover was replaced by Omega to ensure the fully protection of the completely overhauled movement, which is now technically at the very best level and of course works 100% reliably in all functions.
