Bernhard Martin
1966 Hannover
Martin studied at the University of Fine Arts in Kassel from 1983 to 1989 and completed his diploma with Harry Kramer. The most important influences for him were the documenta and the outstanding collection of old masters in “Schloss Wilhelmshöhe”. Martin was a visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, at the Villa Arson, Nice and at the Haute École d'art et de design Genève. Works by the artist can be found in several collections including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Geneva, the Rubell Collection, Miami, MoMA, New York, Deutsche Bank Collection, Frankfurt a.M. and the Arario Museum in Beijing. After staying in Barcelona, Salzburg, Frankfurt, Geneva, Nice and London, Bernhard Martin lives and works in Berlin.
