Enrico Della Torre

Enrico Della Torre was born in 1931 in Pizzighettone near Cremona. From 1951 to 1955 he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. A year later he had his first solo exhibition in the city. As a result, he went on study trips to Paris and Germany, where he met his wife. Della Torre is one of the old masters of abstract Italian painting and, in addition to his painting, has also made a name for himself as a draftsman and engraver and with his etchings. Today the artist lives and works in Milan and in Teglio (Valtellina).
